On 31 July 2026 I defended my PhD thesis in Applied Psychology at the School of Psychology of the University of Minho. The thesis is titled Riscos psicossociais no trabalho: contributos para a conceptualização e a avaliação na indústria (Psychosocial risks at work: Contributions to their conceptualization and assessment in industry).
It deals with two questions that run through much of my work: what we mean when we talk about psychosocial risks at work, and how they can be assessed in industrial settings.
The thesis was supervised by Professor Isabel Maria Soares da Silva and Professor Irene Maria Dias Cadime. My thanks to both of them.
What comes next
On 1 October 2026 I start a postdoctoral position in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Beira Interior, where I will continue working on occupational health, psychosocial risks and intersectional inequalities at work.
